Peaceful natural environment. The sheep in the background with bells gave a wonderfully peaceful feeling. More than enough space to find a spot around the house. Furthermore, many small villages.

Staying with Riki was as expected. We stayed there a few years ago and had a very relaxing holiday. The place is ideal to unwind, relax and unwind. If you are alone, you can stay here. There is everything you need and by car you can reach restaurants and small supermarkets in a few minutes. We also announced last time, we will come back :)

We really enjoyed our stay! Super nice small apartment, peaceful place. Riki and Saskia were always nice and gave us all necessary information and recommendations before arrival, which helped a lot.

We had a wonderful stay. The surroundings are amazing. The house is simple yet fully equipped. We only stayed 4 days but it’s totally suitable for long stays. A wonderful Portuguese experience for us.

A beautiful place to escape from the world. Between the sheeps, the sunrises and sunsets, everything is there to make your stay perfect and smooth.

Peaceful countryside location, with walking trails from the door - great for our dog. Accommodation had everything you could need with spacious airy rooms and views in every direction. Would definitely visit again.

This is a great place! The setting is very tranquil, only nature sounds and some bells from the goats grazing here. You can go on beautiful hikes in every direction. The house is very complete and cosy. It was quite cold in Januari when we were there, but the woodburner kept us warm enough. Very comfortable bed and nice hot shower. There is a binder with a lot of information about the area. When Riki is not here, Saskia lives nearby, she is very helpful and friendly!

Thank you so much Riki for the beautiful stay. This place is a hidden gem, perfect to relax, take a break and spend some time by yourself in nature. The land is truly magical. The house is very functional, cosy, I immediately felt home. I wish I could have stayed more but I will come back for sure!

The mountain is spectacular. Riki and Saskia are always available for any questions or help. Anyone looking to rest and be in contact with nature and animals, this is the place. I loved!

I had the most peaceful days at Riki's place! Surrounded by nature and stillness, I enjoyed going for long walks, cooking and making a fire in the evening. The appartment is super well equipped, it even has an orange juice press and a good italian coffee machine. And a hot water bottle! I enjoyed how consciously it is designed and created, with nice details like the meditation pillows. If you love a simple stay in the midst of beautiful Alentejo - then this is your place! A great place to relax. Very quiet environment with lots of friendly sheep. The apartment is very clean and cozy. The mattress is pleasantly soft and the duvet is warm. Warm shower, well-equipped kitchen, clothes dryer, loungers, firewood,... it was missing. We recommend. :)

The location is very nice. Amazing nature, sorrounded by animals - great experience if you are a nature lover. I will defenetly come back.

The house has everything it needs. If you like to sit quietly and very quietly, it is ideally located. You only hear the sheep's bell and the shepherd. You can walk there endlessly.

It is such a beautiful area, secluded between hills and when you walk on top of the hill, you have the best view of the whole area.

We enjoyed the house in this unique location, such a quiet and beautiful environment where you only hear the birds and occasionally the jingling of goat bells! We enjoyed it, the house was very nice, clean and everything we needed was there! The wood fire is also a super nice addition, the wonderful smell of a burning stove completed the holiday completely.

Beautiful quiet place. Place to relax and listen to the sounds of nature, but also as a base for other trips around. The house is clean, very well equipped. Riki is a great host. I hope to come back here someday.

The house and furnishings are neat, complete and clean. The refrigerator is large enough so that you don't have to go to the supermarket every day. The house is located at the end of a well-maintained dirt road, and it is easy to find with Riki's directions. It is a special location, highly recommended for people who are looking for peace and quiet, want to read books, and want to walk through fields and forests.

This place is a pure slice of authentic rural Alentejo. Up a dirt track, on the side of a valley, goats and sheep on the hillside, clear star filled night skies. Quite, relaxed getaway. Perfect.

Much better than what we expected! Cute place in the middle of nowhere, great for a city detox. You’re surrounded with animals and calmness.

Peace and quiet in a beautiful space. We loved staying here and didnt want to leave. Its definitely off the beaten track, that's what we liked the most about it. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Great woodstove. Just wonderful!

Riki's place is remote and magical. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to rest away from noise and people. The house actually contains 3 parts, occupied but different holidaymakers, but still feels private.

The house consists of three apartments, of which this is the apartment at the end with a 270 degree view. We really enjoyed the peace and seclusion and fell in love with the stray cat. Riki has renovated the house really well, the apartment is very well equipped. And the first apartment on our trip at the beginning of March where we didn't have to freeze. Thank you for the hospitality!

Lovely house, tastefully decorated with all the trimmings! Great if you like silence, a nightingale at night and goat bells in the morning. Nice walking in the area, little else to do, the sea is about 40 minutes. You can completely recover here.

The visit in San Martino was one of the best get aways we had in a long time! The house had three separate living areas, we had the last one. It had everything you could need to cook and make an easy living. At night there were only stars and a beautiful moonshine! During the day you can explore the real Portuguese, go swimming at a lake (recommended!) or just take it easy.
