Monte São Miguel lies two kilometers from the village of Amoreiras Gare with various cafes where you will be welcomed for lunch or dinner. It is the ideal base for beautiful nature walks. You can walk for hours along sandy roads that connect the farms that are now often ruins. Along the way you see overgrown wells and neglected fruit trees.

There are two beautiful reservoirs, Baragem Da Rocha ± 13 km and Baragem De Santa Clara ± 15 km, where you can enjoy picnic, fishing and swimming.

The rugged west coast 'Parque Natural de Vincentina' is ± 45 km away; this has a beautiful vegetation and between the rugged rock walls you will find the most beautiful sandy beaches that are also quiet in the summer. And they don't have any parking problems.
